Gilbert's interest and career in Information Technology began in operations at First Citizens Bank in the late 1970s, where he learned the ins and outs of the DOS operating system, JCL and Mainframe hardware. With the launch of the bank's ATM program, he became the first person to oversee the "Nerve Center," monitoring a statewide ATM network. Later, he moved into programming to solve complex tasks, honing his skills in COBOL, Basic Assembler Language and VSAM.
His first consulting job was at Computer Management Corporation, a small, full-service computer company. This is where his passion for the consulting industry began. Gilbert learned that you can only grow when placed outside your comfort zone – and he was constantly growing.
From there he joined Metro Information Services, where he came to appreciate the family feel that management gave to the workplace, along with the thorough technical interview given to all employees. He worked first as a technical consultant, then as a liaison between staff, client and Metro, and was ultimately promoted to Division Director after building a business unit that yielded over $6 million of annual revenue. But the accomplishment Gilbert is proudest of is building a culture where consultants were happy to work for Metro, and clients felt they had a true partner.
All of this experience gave him the confidence to continue expanding his comfort zone and launch PINPOINT. Here, we've taken the best practices that we've uncovered over the years and rolled them into one "best of breed" company.

Jean Reynolds joined PINPOINT in 2004 as our Office Manager. Her previous positions include SAS developer, business analyst and project leader. She has experience in a number of industries including pharmaceutical, telecommunications and manufacturing.
Jean holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from James Madison University.

Robert joined PINPOINT Resource Group as an Account Executive in June of 2005. He has over 12 years experience in the IT Staffing and Solutions Industry. He has been instrumental in helping companies across the country address their strategic staffing needs with permanent, contract to perm and temporary staff. Additionally, he has helped organizations solve specific IT and Business Strategy needs by providing them with Virtual CIO, Content Management and Web Redesign solutions. Since the launch of PINPOINT’s Network Practice in February 2008, Robert has worked closely with many local companies to help them solve their Infrastructure needs. Solutions implemented have ranged from fractional desktop support services to Virtual CTO functions. In addition to consulting services, PINPOINT helps clients identify, purchase and install a wide variety of cutting edge technology including ShoreTel phone systems and VMWare.
Previously, Robert served in a Business Development role for Eliassen Group, Inc., where he focused on developing solutions for clients within both the private and public sector. Prior to Eliassen, he served as a Recruiter, Marketing Account Representative and Account Executive for Metro Information Services. While at Metro, one of Raleigh's largest and most respected consulting firms, he worked closely with other members of the leadership team to drive new business while building and maintaining client relationships.
Robert holds a Bachelors in Economics from Wake Forest University.

Sean joined PINPOINT in February 2008 as the Network Practice Manager. He has worked as a technical leader and systems architect in the field of IT for more than 14 years with a focus on the Healthcare Industry. He founded the Managed Services and Consulting Division of PINPOINT and is leading its expansion. The Managed Services and Consulting Division provides all levels of IT and infrastructure support for small to mid-sized companies throughout the US. He has extensive experience supporting all stages of a company's growth from startup to international organization.
Sean holds a B.S. in Economics from East Carolina University.

Jason joined PINPOINT in January of 2009 as a Sr. Network Engineer. Jason has extensive experience in the fields of network and systems management, security, and design. Jason has more than 15 years of Information Technology related experience with a focus on electronics and surgical device manufacturing.
Jason holds a B.S. in Network and Security Management from ECPI Technical College.

Brien joined Pinpoint in May of 2010 as a Network Engineer. He has more than 10 years of Information Technology related experience with a focus on small business network design and implementation.
Brien holds a degree in Systems/Network Administration from ECPI Technical College in Raleigh, NC and is a Microsoft and VMware Certified Engineer.

Rob joined PINPOINT in June of 2010 as a Sr. Network Engineer. Rob started out at the Pentagon in the US Air Force, where he then transitioned to the telecom and IT field. Rob has more than 15 years of Information Technology related experience and has gotten his hands into just about everything over the years.

Paul joined PINPOINT in November of 2010 as a Desktop Support Analyst. He has over 10 years of customer service and call center experience. He is currently completing his BA in Network Security from ECPI College of Technology. Prior to enrolling in ECPI he attended East Carolina University where he was an Art Education Major.
Paul holds an Associates of Applied Science in Networking/Computer Electronics from ECPI Technical College in Raleigh, NC.

Joy Hood previously worked for PINPOINT from 2006 – 2009 and has just returned to PINPOINT in July 2011. She has over 20 years in contract and permanent job placement, primarily recruiting for IT and Engineering positions in a wide variety of industries. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy scuba diving (preferably somewhere warm!). She also enjoys running, and spending time with her grandson.
